GASP of Nebraska is a non-profit, 501-c-3
organization dedicated to the elimination of tobacco smoke
pollution in Nebraska. Through grassroots efforts such as
petition drives, letter campaigns, and good ol' Nebraska
values, GASP of Nebraska has helped change and enforce laws
in Nebraska since its founding on January 11, 1989: the
25th anniversary of the first U.S. Surgeon General's report on
smoking. Since that time, we
have been working for a clean, smoke free environment,
as well as the prevention of smoking among minors.
Because we are a non-profit corporation,
GASP of Nebraska can receive
your tax deductible
donations! We will use them to
work toward the following goals:
- Protecting the rights of all persons to a smoke free
environment in public buildings, events, restaurants
- all
places open to
the public.
- Protecting the rights of all employees to a
smoke free workplace.
- Protecting the rights of all children to a smoke free life
without exposure to tobacco, tobacco advertising, and
careless merchant practices.
- Protecting the rights of smokers to purchase and use
tobacco products assuming they refrain from smoking in
public places where others are exposed to known health
risks from secondhand smoke.
